Over the years successive Governments have introduced a number of programmes and initiatives to push forward energy savings programmes.
Often these initiatives have come with limited delivery timescales, which have paved the way for opportunist companies, who know/understand little about the protocols required in delivering these programmes and who have had their fingers burned, either through ignorance or incompetence.
This has created a volatile marketplace, with many of the seasoned players left wondering who to believe and who they can trust.
Against this background, Acrobat was founded in 2010 by Managing Director Kevin Griffin, who saw an opportunity to create a company that acted as a facilitating partner for the delivery of energy efficient improvements to domestic homes across the UK.
Acrobat operates as the ‘honest broker’ between the energy companies and the installers, ensuring programmes are delivered with integrity, are compliant and that the installers get paid.

In the last five years Acrobat has forged a reputation for providing the best service in the marketplace, based on its record of project delivery and compliance.
Typical activities include:
• Facilitating access to funding for installers
• Identifying schemes (e.g. councils, housing associations etc) with suitable properties
• Providing in house facilities for marketing/lead generation
• Acting as an intermediary for smaller installers who can’t deal directly with an energy company
• Ensuring compliant project delivery
• Facilitating prompt payments for all parties
Robust protocols and procedures are in place to ensure that the energy saving measure can be ‘banked’ and claimed as a qualifying carbon reduction for the energy company, which will pass Ofgem scrutiny.
